.:: Utility Billing ::.
The City of Kingman provides water, sewer and sanitation services to customers in our service areas. We are located at 310 N. 4th Street, Kingman, AZ 86401 and can be contacted at (928) 753-5561.
New Accounts and Deposit Information
- Residential Deposits:
A refundable utility deposit in the amount of $100.00 is required for new customers to start service. The refundable deposit is non-interest bearing and will be applied to your account after 12 months of good credit history or be applied against the final utility bill, whichever comes first.
- Other Deposits:
All persons requesting service other than single family residential will be required to pay a deposit in the amount of 2 1/2 times the highest estimated monthly bill. The refundable deposit is non-interest bearing and will be applied to the account after 12 months of good credit history or be applied against the final utility bill, whichever comes first.
- Good Credit Waives the Deposit:
We will not require a deposit if you can supply a letter of credit from another utility company that meets our good credit criteria. The criteria being that the letter shows the past year's credit history with no more than 4 delinquencies, no disconnects and no returned checks. You can have a letter of credit faxed to us at (928) 753-6867. If your letter meets our criteria, we will be able to handle your request for new service by phone.
- Service Charges for New Water Service:
A service charge in the amount of $10.50 + tax for locations inside the City limits or $15.50 + tax for locations outside the City limits is assessed when you initiate service.
- Same Day Service:
Under normal conditions, we will be able to process your request for new service, service transfers, and service terminations the same day as long as we receive your request before 3:00p.m.
Billing and Payment Terms
- Billing:
You will receive a monthly bill from us which will include charges for water, sewer and sanitation services or any combination of these services.
- Payment Terms:
Your bill will be due 20 days after the billing date. Make your check or money order payable to the City of Kingman. Payments must be received in our office on the due date shown on your bill. Your account becomes delinquent the day after the due date unless prior payment arrangements have been made with our customer service staff. The due date on your bill applies to current charges only. Any balance forward shown on your bill is subject to the delinquency process.
Payment Options and Drop Box Locations
| Office location: Our mailing address and office location is 310 N 4th Street, Kingman AZ. 86401. Please include the top portion of your bill with your payment. Payments can be made in our office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. |

| Autodraft: Autodraft allows you to pay your monthly utility bill without sending in a check for your payment every month. After you sign up, your checking account will be electronically drafted each month for the amount of your bill. You will continue to receive your bill on a monthly basis. The bottom portion of the bill will have a statement that reads, bank draft. The amount due shown on the bill will be drafted 14 days after the billing date. You simply need to deduct the amount of the bill from your bank record. Your bank statement will reflect the autodraft transfer as it does your other transactions. |

| Budget/ Levelized Billing: After you have established a 12-month consumption history, you can apply for budget billing. The levelized billing will be based on an average of the past 12-months usage and any overage or shortage must be settled prior to the beginning of the next levelized billing cycle. The due date for all budget billing accounts carry the same due date as the regular cycle billing accounts. |

Drop box locations: Payments placed in our drop boxes after 8:00 a.m. will be processed the following business day. Please do not place cash in the drop box. We have three drop box locations. |
